Ceremony & Services

What types of ceremonies do you offer?

I offer a variety of services including legally binding weddings, symbolic ceremonies, baby naming days, vow renewals, and celebrations of life. Each is carefully crafted to reflect your personal story and values.

Can we include our own vows and readings?

Absolutely. I encourage you to make the ceremony your own. Whether you want to write your own heartfelt vows or choose readings that resonate with you, I am here to help guide you through the process.

How long does a wedding ceremony typically last?

A standard ceremony usually lasts between 25 to 35 minutes. This timeframe allows for the natural flow of readings, music, and symbolic elements while maintaining a relaxed and meaningful pace.

Can you perform ceremonies anywhere in Ireland?

Yes, as a GRO-approved solemniser, I am authorised to perform legal wedding ceremonies at any approved venue throughout Ireland. and Northern Ireland. For symbolic ceremonies, the choice of location is even more flexible!

Which ceremonies are legal?

I am a GRO-approved solemniser, so your wedding ceremony can be fully legal when all HSE requirements are met. Other ceremonies I offer — such as baby naming, vow renewals, and celebrations of life — are symbolic and not legal events.

Booking & Pricing Questions

How do I formally book your services for my wedding date?

To secure your wedding date, a pre-ceremony consultation and a booking deposit are required. Once the deposit is received and availability is confirmed, your date is formally reserved and held exclusively for your celebration in my calendar.

What are your pricing details for different ceremony types?

Fees vary depending on the nature of the celebration—legal wedding, symbolic ceremony, or baby naming—and its location within Ireland. I provide a transparent, personalised quote tailored to your venue and date requirements. Prices for weddings start from €700 and all other ceremonies start from €400.

Do you offer consultations prior to the big day?

Yes, pre-ceremony consultations are an essential part of the process. We meet either online or in-person in Carlow to discuss your wishes and vision, ensuring your ceremony is perfectly reflective of your unique story.

+

Are travel expenses included in your service fees?

Travel within Carlow and surrounding regions is typically included in my standard fees. For ceremonies held nationwide across Ireland or in remote Leinster locations, a modest travel fee may apply based on logistical expenses and travel time.

+

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book their venue  12–18 months in advance of their wedding date, especially for popular weekend dates, but a celebrant is often booked much later than that- between 6-9 months is perfectly normal. Please don't hesitate to contact me to check availability, I will always try to accommodate you if at all possible.
